The World Giving Report 2025, published by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), provides a global analysis of generosity across 101 countries. Nearly two-thirds of people worldwide donated in 2024, with Africa ranking as the most generous continent relative to income and Nigeria leading globally with 2.83% of income donated. The study highlights how social norms, religion, and government encouragement shape giving behaviors, while also capturing public trust in civil society organizations. These insights offer valuable evidence for strengthening philanthropy, fostering a culture of giving, and guiding policies to support resilient social sectors.
