This working paper proposes a quantitative method to assess human rights risks in corporate supply chains, using the Novartis case. By integrating global economic models with human rights data, it identifies potential issues such as child labor, forced labor, wage gaps, and corruption. The approach estimates societal costs to support risk prioritization, supplier engagement, and more transparent corporate governance.
