Based on a 2025 global survey across eight countries, this report examines public attitudes toward billionaire philanthropy. It finds that support remains relatively strong but increasingly conditional, shaped by expectations of transparency, accountability, and alignment with basic human needs. Perceptions vary significantly between high- and low- to middle-income countries, with growing scrutiny around influence, policy engagement, and the use of AI in philanthropic decision-making.
