WASH Impact Valuation Framework (WIVF)
The WASH Impact Valuation Framework (WIVF), developed by Valuing Impact, provides a standardized methodology to assess the societal and business value of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiatives. Using the eQALY method, it translates diverse outcomes—such as improved health, education, gender equality, economic opportunity, and environmental preservation—into a single monetary-based well-being indicator. The WIVF helps organizations go beyond beneficiary counts by identifying key impact drivers and enabling cost–benefit comparisons across projects. It is aligned with global frameworks (like WASH4Work), already applied in over 30 countries, and supports more strategic, transparent, and impactful decision-making for WASH investments.
