Funders are feeling the need to confront the COVID-19 pandemic quickly and effectively. Listening, especially to nonprofit partners and the communities funders ultimately seek to serve, is essential to doing so. More than 750 funders and philanthropic leaders have committed to listening to communities least heard, lifting up their voices and experiences to inform public discourse and their own decision-making throughout their COVID-19 response. They recognize that listening helps ensure that their response to COVID-19 will be more effective, efficient, and equitable. This framework lays out high-impact funder listening priorities during COVID-19.
