This is an initial attempt to identify and describe the range of organizations and activities currently promoting and supporting global social investing, including grantmaking foundations, other foundations, philanthropic and grantmaker support groups, affinity groups, international associations and networks, nonprofit organizations, intermediary organizations and giving mechanisms, and universities.
